The Centriscidae are a small family of marine fishes consisting of 12 species in 5 genera. Strongly laterally compressed and covered in thin bony plates, they typically swim in a head down position. These guys feed on zooplankton. Despite their apparent ineffective propulsion system I assure you they can stay ahead of a photographer finning hard. |
